Production
Filming
Since Today In History is a YouTube Shorts-based series, each episode is a max of sixty seconds, recording an episode is relatively simple and swift. TIH is filmed using the digital recording software OBS. Episodes are filmed in a restricted 9:16 vertical resolution. Pickyman, the host, conducts the research, narration, and editing for the series.
Editing
Editing the episodes is one of the most complex parts of the episode-making process. Two programs have to be used. Firstly, to conduct the basic editing like cuts, text, and images. Then, convert the 1920x1080 video to a 9:16 ratio to match mobile screen aspect ratios.
